Match report

Oakworth Hornets 2 - 3 Westwood Jets
Saturday 20th April 2008

Still no sign of Spring and the Jets had to battle the conditions and a strong Oakworth side for this result. A cross came from the right that Oakworth couldn't clear, allowing Finley Richardson to run on to it for the first goal. A deeper cross found Jake Dawson in space to hit a sweet left-foot shot. Oakworth pulled a goal back then Adam Perry cut inside from the right this time and delivered the ball to Lewis Goldsborough to restore the advantage.

A goal in the second half gave some hope to the home side. On a day like this, the importance of sticking together as a team is paramount. Ther Jets attacked with strong passing and defended as one with only the front man excused from tracking back to help. Man of the match was Jacoib Ashbrook. A couple of great saves ensured the game went the way of the Jets.
