Westwood Jets 3 - 0 Horsforth Earthquakes
Sunday 3rd February 2008
The Jets did not allow the pace of this pulsating game to put them off and won it with skill and time to spare. All three goals came in the first half from well organized, intuitive attacking play. The Jets pressed, passing the ball from centre to right. Horsforth managed to keep the first shot out but the ball fell to an orange shirt with Jake Dawson getting the final touch. A near-identical move saw Lewis Goldsborough supply the finish for the second. Kieran Walton struck from the edge of the area after a move from the left. Horsforth came back strongly after the break but the jets weathered the storm - man-of-the-match Jacob Ashbrook came into his own with a daring and determined display - and they finished the game on top.
