Match report
Westwood Jets 4 - 0 Guiseley White
Sunday 15th November 2009
Another gritty performance saw the Jets dominate a
game from start to finish against a well organised Guisley side. The
lads were 1 - 0 up after two minutes when Tyler Rhodes pounced on the
ball in the Guisley area and slotted it home. Tyler was in fine
form and came close to getting his second of the game with only the post
stopping him. James Larvin was not to be outdone and put the Jets 2-0
up after six minutes. Matty Malloy came close to making it three after
beating four players but then seeing his shot go wide.
In
the
Second half the ever reliable defensive pairing of Declan Wilkinson and
Ryan Tucker kept things tight at the back with James Topham having
little to do in goal. Ellis Wade, who was only 50 per cent fit, put a
great ball
through to Tyler who scored from a tight angle to take the game beyond
the visitors. Mathew Rowntree added his name to the scoresheet in the
last few minutes.. Todays man of the match award was shared between
Matty
Malloy and James Larvin - the pair never stopped and kept a firm grip
on
the midfield.
