The
Jets dominated the game from start to finish and showed great teamwork,
with every boy working for each other. It wasn't long into the game
when Tyler Rhodes hit a shot inside the box that took a deflection and
the Jets were az goal up. Gomersal's main form of attack was their
impressive keeper who could get great distance from goal kicks. Ellis
Wade and Andrew Hawley were on hand to win most of the midfield balls
coming over, making space for James Larvin and Mathew Rowntree on the
wings, all feeding Tyler, who got his second goal. James Larvin's great
strike added one more just before half time.
In the second
half the boys again imposed themselves with ever reliable pair of
Declan Wilkinson and Ryan Tucker taking control of defence. They
limited Gomersal to one clear chance with James Topham on hand to
pounce on the ball. Man of the match was Ellis Wade who showed great
determination in each half.
