Westwood Jets 3 - 1 Burley Bulls

A good solid performance from the boys saw them beat a strong Burley side. After just five minutes, Ryan Tucker shot from outside the box, the ball took a wicked deflection off a Burley player and the Jets took a worthy lead. With the goal still fresh in their minds the boys got punished for not closing down when Burley took a quick corner to make it 1-1 at half time.
The boys came out reinvigorated in the second half and it wasn't long before they retook the lead with Tyler Rhodes pouncing on a ball in the box and slotting it past the Burley keeper. The Jets were looking for the third goal and started to push up, with Declan Wilkinson on hand to stop several Burley counter attacks. In the last two minutes Mathew Rowntree scored a great goal and was awarded the man of the match.
