Match report
Bingley A 1 - 7 Westwood Jets
Sunday 6th April 2008
On what was the last scheduled game of the season, the Jets have kept
up an unbelievable level of performance and came away with another fine
win. Adam Perry opened the scoring with a shot from just outside the
area. Adam then tackled just outside the Westwood area and took the
ball up the left for Ross Kelly to slot home. A move up the right by
Lewis Goldsborough and Joe Allan delivered the ball to Finley
Richardson, having a powerful game in central midfield, who chipped it
neatly over the keeper for the third. Lewis hit home after a corner
with Ross Kelly on hand to make sure it was over the line.
Jake Dawson, playing further forward, struck a teasing shot that beat
several players before finding the net. Jake's next shot brought a good
save from the Bingley keeper but Ross was well-placed to bury the
rebound. Jacob Ashbrook and Lewis Goldsborough played well in the build
up. Bingley claimed a consolation before Kieran Walton, patrolling the
right, released Joe Allan who capped a skillful display with a solo
goal. With just rescheduled games to go, the Jets know how hard they
will have to work over the next couple of weeks but the end - and the
prize - is in sight!
