Match report
Bingley 1 - 2 Westwood Jets
Sunday 24th January 2010
After
a longer then expected break the Jets were back in action away to
Bingley. And they got off to a great start, passing the ball around
and pressing Bingley back in their half for the first 10 minutes
of the game. The Jets' first goal came from a corner, with Mathew
Rowntree putting a perfect ball in the box for Ryan Tucker to head
home. It was not long before the Jets got another, with Ellis Wade
putting a low shot in the box that took a deflection to make the half
time score 2 - 0.
Bingley started to press in the second half
and were awarded a penalty; it was well struck but hit the post. They
did pull a goal back from a corner, to make the last 10 minutes a great
game to watch. The Jets held on, even without Ellis Wade who had been
injured. Andrew Hawley was awarded the man of the match for a strong
performance in midfield.
