Some excellent football from a maturing Jets side made this game a pleasure to watch. A highlight was the way striker Ethan Labad, right-winger Adam Perry and left-winger Jake Dawson worked the ball upfield in a series of flowing moves with accurate passing and intelligent through-balls. Goals 1 and 4, both scored by Ethan, came from right and left crosses – the last one completed his hat-trick. Adam capped a short run with a fine left-foot shot for the other goal. At the other end, Lewis Goldsborough played a supportive role in central midfield, Joe Allan and Finley Richardson dealt admirably with Thackley’s breaks and Jacob Ashbrook was always assured in goal.
Ethan was awarded 'man of the match' for an all-round performance of skill and effort.
