Westwood Jets 2 - 0 Shipley Lions
Sunday 4th February 2007
The Jets started brightly with good movement across the field but were contained by Shipley and the first half ended quietly at 0-0. Another good start after the break this time yielded a goal with Adam Perry on hand to strike as Shipley struggled to clear the ball. The Jets continued to apply pressure. Lewis Goldsborough in central midfield provided excellent cover whenever Shipley broke forward. He also ran through to unleash a snarling left-footed shot into the bottom corner for the second goal and collected the man-of-the-match trophy. Both goalkeepers performed well – this was Jacob Ashbrook’s seventh clean sheet for the season.
