Bingley B 0 - 7 Westwood Dolphins
Sunday 6th April 2008
A good game, in which the importance of everybody's role in the team was emphasised by the number of lads on the scoresheet. Callum Armitage was first with an unstoppable shot from the right. Ben Craig soon joined him with an identically powerful effort. A team move across the Bingley area resulted in a nice ball for Robbie Sharkey, on a well-timed run. Samuel Harrison came on as a substitute and scored almost immediately with a curling shot.
The second half saw goals from Tyler Fletcher. For the first, he stopped the ball as if to turn then hit a back-heel that noone was expecting, leaving players and spectators open-mouthed. The second was more conventional but a pleasing, well-struck shot nonetheless. Christiano Ronaldo will likely win goal of the month for something very similar to Tyler's first. For Tyler, man of the match will have to suffice.
