Match report

Westwood Dolphins 4 - 2 Shipley Tigers
Sunday 4th February 2007

Another good Shipley midfield to deal with, and their link-up play with the forwards meant that, not for the first time, the Dolphins found themselves two goals down to this side. But again, not for the first time, the Dolphins showed tremendous character to overhaul the deficit and go on to win the game. Jacob Trueman, in charge down the left wing, scored the first goal. Callum Armitage lobbed the Shipley keeper for a second then broke forward and finished a strong run with an assured shot; he poached another from a corner to complete a well-deserved hat-trick. The Dolphins were first to every ball, and Daniel Smith and Patrick Henry made a series of crucial tackles to prevent Shipley getting back in the game.
