The Dolphins progressed towards the retention of their division title with this hard-fought but ultimately successful game. Ben Craig gave a masterful performance in goal. Daniel Smith was commanding in defence and also took the ball forward in a well-controlled, skillful way. It was from one of these moves that he shot from part way into the Sandy Lane half - Robbie Sharkey's presence in the penalty area was enough to distract the goalkeeper and it was in! Ross Banks, deputising for Jacob Trueman on the left wing, carved through Sandy Lane time after time and was unlucky not to add to the score. He was named man of the match.
