Match report

Westwood Dolphins 5 - 0 Gomersal/Cleckheaton Panthers
Sunday 2ns November 2008

The boys took adavantage of an improved pitch and were soon passing the ball around neatly. When the Dolphins got their first corner Callum Warne-Cleave produced a great cross in for Ryan Abbasi to turn in. The boys took advantage on another corner when Callum played it short to James Larvin who hit a great strike to make the score 2-0. Just before half time Luke Stoyles took to the pitch and pounced onto a cross from Ryan and thundered a shot into the net.

In the second half Gomersal came close to scoring but James Topham pulled off a fantastic save to keep the score at 3-0. Jordon Botwood slotted a great ball through the Gomersal Defence to James Larvin who made the score 4-0. James then got his hat-trick after running onto a great ball from Ryan Abbasi. There was also a  promising defensive display from Kyle Fletcher and Sam Hastings, who are starting to form a formidable partnership at the back, and today's man of the match Sam Hastings, who commanded the defence.

A great display of passing football from the boys - well done!
