Match report
Horton Foxes 0 - 12 Westwood
Sunday 8th November 2009
The
early game saw some good passing football on a big pitch and the boys
were soon on the score sheet with a good shoot from Max Mcguire. Only a
minute later Max got his second with a similar effort. Jordan Harrison
got his first of the afternoon sliding in at the far post, then Luke
Keenen got in on the act with a good run and shot to make it 4-0 at
half time.
The second half began with Max Mcguire getting a well
deserved hat trick pouncing on a poor clearence. This was closely
followed by the hard working Josh Allen who hit a typically powerful
finish past the keeper. Ethan Allen.Ethan got his first goal after some
good passing and running on the wing with Jacob McIntosh then cooly
side-footing past the keeper then Lucas Keenen got his second with
another smart finish for 8-0.
The boys confidence is really high
at the moment and every one of them plays their part with Jake Speed
and Daniel Francis commanding in defence - the team have only conceded
three goals all season (and that was in the same game) - with
help from Tyler Ratnik, who played in goal for the second half, and
Joseph Gallagher battling for possession so that opposition teams
are finding it very difficult to create chances.
In the last ten
minutes Westwood hit four more goals with another good finish by Ethan
Allen, an own goal, a second for Jordan Harrison with a well
struck cross-cum-shot from a tight angle and lastly Kian King who
played in goal first half but then showed a good eye for goal himself
with a turn and shot.
The coaches named Jacob McIntosh the man
of the match for been involved in most of the goals and his great
attitude and determination to get the ball back.
