Westwood Under 7s 2 - 1 Thackley Thunder

A fantastic game of football which saw Westwood end the unbeaten run of Thackley. Westwood dominated the first half but struggled to convert their chances and, against the run of play, Thackley went a goal up.
In the second half, Westood took the game to their opponents and were soon level thanks to a goal finished by Matthew Malloy from a well-worked corner. The game was decided by a wonderful solo effort from Josh Silson, running practically the full length of the pitch and beating 3-4 players in the process before slotting the ball past the keeper. The last five minutes saw some frantic defending to secure the win, making it an excellent display from the entire team. Man of the match was Josh who gave an outstanding captain's performance.
