BD3 United 2 - 7 Westwood

Another great result for the under 7's. They were straight out of the blocks and soon went ahead with a well taken goal from Jacob Slater which he followed up shortly, stepping forward to score from the penalty spot. The home team pulled one back but quickly cancelled it out with an own goal and Westwood went in at half time with a 3-1 lead.
The boys picked up where they left off in the second half. Joseph O'Grady and Johnny Henry in defence simply would not let anything past. In midfield, the boys worked really hard and won most of the ball with great play from Josh Carr and Jake Larvin. Westwood soon increased their lead with Liam Wilkinson getting onto the score sheet closely followed by Joseph O'Grady. The home team pulled one back to make it 5-2. Not long after with some great work from the team it was 6-2 with Liam's shot on goal taking a touch off Jacob for him to get his hat trick. Liam scored the again to make the final score 7-2.
It was another good all-round performance and with Katie Parr and Adam Clay playing each half in goal they did the team proud again. Player of the Match went to Jacob Slater who had another good game.
Thanks go to the BD3 team who played in a good spirit with a great set of boys and managers that made us all feel welcome and congratulated our team after their performance.
