Westwood Jets 8 - 3 Shipley Panthers

The lads got off to a slow start with the first goal being scored in the twentieth minute by Jahro Parchment leaving them 3-1 down at half time. After a much needed team talk with lots of constructive advice the lads re-entered the field of play like a different team. Hungry for the ball, they began to play as we know they can, and with a superb individual goal from Matt Jacques followed by another from Roy Kimachia they were level within minutes. Numerous attempts bounced off the cross bar/posts or just missed crossing the line but patience was rewarded with more goals flooding in from Thomas Oates, Josh Helliwell, Matt Jacques, Joe Stephenson and Chris Jacques.

The final score of 8-3 shows that the lads are quite capable of coming back from behind. It was a much better performance in the second half with Roy Kimachia chosen as man of the match. A special mention goes to the Shipley keeper who had an outstanding game ensuring Westwood never reached double figures.
